FELIZ NADOODLEDA

Christmas/Seasons Greetings from Teena Terror and Dancing Tank. Another complete production workout (concept, script, rig, animation, voice acting, backgrounds, character designs) with these guys. It all took over 40 hours but this rig is a real tiger of experimentation as mentioned elsewhere ).

Free Squiddy – Skit with Teena Terror and Tank

Character Design – Concept – Story & Script – Storyboarding –  Voice acting and direction – Rigging (Toon Boom Harmony) – Animation (Toon Boom Harmony) – Compositing (After Effects). A real artistic smorgasboard.

POSING TEENA TERROR (BALLET)

So we start with Rockabilly and now we’re at ballet. Teena is a great Black Swan, right? 😛
Rigged and animated in Toon Boom Harmony and composited in After Effects with Stardust particle system.

TTNT Podcast Spoof – Lego (Wego) of Life

Another artistic smorgasbord. I am exercising a great many disciplines of course, so some leniency is afforded oneself, as one carries out the exercise. The animating “acting” is very rewarding I find.

TTNT Dance the Twist (Crickets Prt. 2)

Character design, rig build and design, tween animation and dance choreography :). The disciplines are obviously transferrable to non-character animation multimedia workflows.
Teena’s voice isn’t the, relatively typical, female character voice (Betty Boop, Harley Quinn etc.). Some of her lines are done by myself and a generator was used for some as well.

Miscellaneous compilation of tests etc..
More to come re: the Madmen Space Invader characters, designed by friend and colleague P. Reid,  soon I hope.

Samurai Jack’s Aku character

A little fan art of the character from famed animated show. Giving credits to voice of actor “Mako”… which I hope isn’t too naughty of me to include in such a purpose.
Simple, just front view but using a “weighted deformation” enhanced mouth setup in Toon Boom Harmony.

Death Big Wheel .gif
Using the DUIK script in After Effects. There was a plan to do a Death Race using the miscellaneous designs I have for the subject. Spooky goes well with corny ).

Crickets

Giving the Teena character a lip sync challenge. Even though mouth drawing substitutions weren’t a huge consideration when conceiving this character the deform based mouth elements worked out ok under the circumstances. The Ai generated voice, though pretty good for what it is, didn’t really have a lot of annunciation to work with so I didn’t get too hung up on perfection.
Wanted to give the character something cheeky to say and pair with body language acted out. This topic popped up and I hope I don’t offend any insect eating advocacy groups.

Teena Terror and Tank Dance Duo

Toon Boom Harmony puppet rig and learning project. I knew the principles I wanted to cover and wanted to address them all, which is not usually the recommended route to learning… usually we start with smaller attainable goals, but I was stubborn and decided to be indulgent and did not shy from overcomplicating things… for right or wrong. As such, I feel the methodology is more important than the final outcome, which is still pretty ok. Points involved – Character Design Challenge for 360 degree 2D rigs for 2 characters. – Construct advanced rig, incorporating IK/FK switches – Elaborate anatomical posing and character interplay using the simple puppet shapes – Elaborate interplay between 2 figures in 3D space ( – Animating and original dance choreography and interplay of 2 characters in scene Final analysis It is imperfect. Additional hand drawings are in order and more than a few (expected) rough edges. Overall I rate my  thinking process to be quite good overall :).

Spaceman SVG

Fun with CSS transforms (on loan from Planet Frenzy).

Just a horse ‘hud’ animation using CC Animate.

Light a candle. Simple svg animation using Adobe Animate and Illustrator.
